Support My Rocky Run — Every Step Helps Families Facing Childhood Cancer
This November, I am taking on the challenge of completing the Rocky Run. Yet what excites me even more than completing the race is the opportunity to support a truly incredible cause.
As I journey towards medical school and my ultimate goal of becoming a physician, I have seen firsthand the damage that cancer can cause. My gap year position working as a medical assistant has introduced me to countless individuals facing this battle, and cancer has also impacted close members of my family.
Training for a half marathon is tough, but it’s nothing compared to the challenges faced every day by parents of children suffering from cancer. That’s why I’m dedicating my run to raising funds and awareness for MyChild’sCancer, which assists families by providing a hub for treatment information as well as practical support.
My fundraising goal is $5,000—the approximate cost of supporting one child through MyChild’sCancer’s programs. By reaching this goal, together we will sponsor a child, ensuring their family receives expert guidance, vital resources, and hope during their fight against cancer. To learn more about MyChild’sCancer’s mission and impact, please visit www.mychildscancer.org.
Every tax-deductible donation brings us closer to this goal. Thank you for helping me run not just for myself, but for a child in need.
